Food as an Addiction by Stephanie Perfect

I'm thrilled to introduce Stephanie as a contributor to my site! She is a wonderful woman who hails from Seattle, but moved Tennessee about a year and a half ago. I have not met Stepanie in person yet unfortunately, but she has been a tremendous support to me the past year +. I found Stephanie while I was going through casting to be on season 5 of The Biggest Loser. She is friends of another casting hopeful and also with two former contestants. We connected instantly, and share so many struggles, as well as successes. We both began at a weight over 300lb, and have both have some ups and downs the past year with our weight loss. Stephanie has quite a following on myspace, with many who read her blog. Regardless of any bumps in the road, Stephanie has remained focused on her journey to be Fit. Food, an addiction? It’s hard for some people to understand that it truly can be a very overwhelming and powerful struggle. Unless you have experienced it first hand, I am sure it is easy to be skeptical. It is sort of like those of us who have never experienced the ‘supernatural’. When we hear that a house is haunted, and that people have seen ghosts, we think to ourselves ‘Yeah, sure...’ and that’s because we have never experienced it.
